Viridor Waste Management Ltd
March 12 2009After hours and hours of work on a bid to the above company, the paperwork was submitted and then the nail biting wait to find out if we had been successful. Well- fantastic news arrived - Viridor have provisionally approved a £17,000 donation pending necessary proceedures / paperwork- MANY THANKS !
This is absolutely fantastic news and such a boost to the park funds - the money has been granted for the purchase of 3 new pieces of equipment for the recreation area.
This will include a zip-wire, a see-saw and another set of four swings. The boundary to the perimeter fencing to accomodate the new equipment will be extended accordingly and we are in talks with Parks and Countryside about this presently.
Once all the necessary paperwork has been approved , orders will be placed for the equipment, at which point we will have a clearer idea on when it is likely to be installed.
