Activity Vans to return Summer 09..

A few weeks ago we were contacted by Sheffield City Council to advise us that due to the success and demand for the vans on the park last year, that there has been budget set to side to fund vans again this year in the summer holidays.

This really is very good news as the children really enjoyed themselves last year, and the parents, or carers got to meet up and put the world to rights, it was a lovely social event with some bringing sandwiches along and having a picnic.

The police community support officers would pop up and have a chat and get to know the kids, and this too was very positive. We have had some lovely feed back from the personnel working the activity vans to say that the local children were polite, willing to join in and were a pleasure to work with - this is great to hear !
