What a fantastic display of colour there will be, come spring on the outer edge of the playing field ( top end).
The group , with the assistance of 260 pupils from Local Charnock Hall Primary School, got stuck in with help from Parks and Countryside rangers, and planted 2-3000 bulbs .
These are daffodil and crocus bulbs. The day was a brilliant success and the children were as committed as ever, despite the ground being very muddy and slippy.
At the end of the day we had some very sludgy, but happy kids and volunteers knowing that they had done their bit towards the environment, and towards making the park a more attractive place to visit. Well done everyone.
